Grilled Chocolate Peanut Butter Strawberry Sandwich

Grilled Chocolate Peanut Butter Strawberry Sandwich

I get all googly-eyed over a really REALLY good sandwich, don’t you?

I know that most sandwiches are more on the savory side – so today I decided to go the opposite direction and make a sweet one — and boy, is it sweet! This grilled chocolate peanut butter strawberry sandwich is so rich and gooey!

You literally can’t sit still and eat it at the same time. The only downside is that you might have oozing chocolate running down your hand, but hey…I don’t have a problem with that! Do you?!

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Milkshake (Plus Dairy Free Milkshake Alternatives)

May 12, 2016 by Jenni 1,148 Comments

Hey there & Welcome!!

I’ve just gotta ask…

Ever had a homemade milkshake?

A creamy, dreamy, heaven in your mouth homemade milkshake?

Guys. If you answered no, then you’re missing out and I feel so so soooo sorry for you and I’m giving you a virtual hug, right now. Bless your heart.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Milkshake (including dairy free alternatives)

If you have encountered this bliss, then you KNOW just how easy they are to make…

…and how DELICIOUS they are…

…and how DECADENT they are.

Since PB and Chocolate is a favorite flavor combo among many, I wanted to share my homemade peanut butter and chocolate milkshake recipe.

What’s the most awesome thing about making homemade milkshakes?

Peanut butter and chocolate milkshake including dairy free milkshake options.

Everyone loves stopping at the local ice cream shop for a milkshake, but

cue Rolling Stones music…

you can’t…

always get…

what ya wa-aant.

NO.

You can’t…

always get…

what ya wa-aant!

Okay – for real. You can’t always get what you want when you buy from the ice cream parlor or restaurant. However, with homemade milkshakes, YOU control

  • what goes in it
  • how much sugar is used (or use sugar free products)
  • fun flavor combos
  • or make a dairy free milkshake (what??!!) That’s a REAL thing! And they’re JUST as good!!

Homemade milkshakes are the perfect option for families who deal with a lot of allergies or intolerances.

peanut butter and chocolate milkshake

It’s also a fun way to get the kids engaged with you IN the kitchen! Have a weekly “make your own milkshake” night. Let the kids be creative!

Here are a few fun milkshake ideas that you could throw together…

  • Peanut Butter and Banana
  • Peanut Butter and Jelly (oooohh)
  • Fudge Brownie and Ice Cream
  • Strawberry and Chocolate
  • Rocky Road
  • S’Mores

Or you could let them make a cool gross one like,

  • Potato chips and pickles (ewww!)

Either way, you’ve got to TRY our homemade peanut butter and chocolate milkshake! If you love Reese’s Cups, you’re gonna LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!

peanut butter s'mores

Did you catch our Thin Mint Ice Cream Sandwiches post from yesterday? Yep! It’s Girl Scout Cookie time, and I wanted to re-share these ideas. I mean, Girl Scout Cookies are delicious on their own, right outta the package. But smushing things between 2 cookies. Well. Do I even have to explain how good that is?!

This post is an older one, but I wanted to update it and share it again because every home in America is being hit by the Girl Scout Cookie plague. You don’t wanna miss these……………….

DUN, DUN, DUUUUNNNNN.

Tagalongs Peanut Butter S’Mores.

Ohhhh, yes I did. Boy Howdy! I love smushing things between cookies. So – I hope you enjoy these.

IF you don’t have any Tagalongs, you can actually make Homemade Tagalong Girl Scout Cookies. My friend Andrea at Savings Lifestyle shows you how! Here’s a photo below of her yummy creation and the recipe is so super duper easy!!

peanut butter s'moresWhoops. Let’s try taking this photo again…

peanut butter s'moresLittle Man totally got away with that cookie!

You’ll need:

  • Girl Scout Tagalongs (or the Homemade Tagalongs recipe link above)
  • Regular size marshmallows
  • Baking Sheet (unless you’re roasting marshmallows outside)

How to Assemble:

  • Either roast your marshmallows outside (if it’s warmer weather) or you can roast them in your oven. Simply place enough marshmallows on an aluminum foil lined baking sheet, to make however many s’mores you want.
  • Turn the oven on broil (apprx. 500 degrees).
  • Put the pan with marshmallows in the oven and roast until just browned on top. Then pull them out and assemble your Tagalongs or other peanut butter cookie S’Mores.

*I kept my oven door cracked just a bit to keep a very close eye on them. They were ready in just a minute or 2.

**Don’t overbrown the marshmallows. I actually got mine a little bit TOO brown the first time around, but they were still sooooo good and gooey!

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Bark Recipe

December 10, 2015 by Jenni 143 Comments

This post brought to you by The Hershey Company. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Sweet Pennies From Heaven.

This Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Bark recipe is a fun twist on an old family classic holiday recipe. So easy and so delicious...only using 4 ingredients! It's the perfect no bake holiday recipe! www.sweetpenniesfromheaven.com

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Bark Recipe

It’s time ya’ll. Christmas movies are playing ’round the clock at my house right now, and the candy and treat makin’ has begun. I’ve been working with The Hershey Company on a few fun things lately, including this Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Bark recipe. They’re really working hard to help families and friends create #NewTraditions with their loved ones this year.

Since Hershey’s is a company that I consider – “ancestor approved” – I’ve got a nice stash of their products on the corner of my countertop to make all kinds of yummies.

We created a really fun video for our Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Bark recipe. Just click to watch the video above!! We had entirely too much fun shooting it. Family and friends devoured the bark EACH time I made it. I’ve made quite a few batches already – and will be making more ahead for Christmas. We made it as a fun spin on our traditional chocolate covered peanut butter ball recipe.

Did you notice the cute Hershey’s plate at the end of the video? I actually bought that plate for my mom in 1996 when I was on my senior class trip! I bought it from Hershey PA – so it was definitely fitting for this post!

This Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Bark recipe is a fun twist on an old family classic holiday recipe. So easy and so delicious...only using 4 ingredients! It's the perfect no bake holiday recipe! www.sweetpenniesfromheaven.com Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Bark Ingredients:

  • 11.5 oz bag of Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 10 oz bag of Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips
  • 12 oz bag of Reese’s Miniatures Peanut Butter Cups

Instructions:

Begin by unwrapping Reese’s Miniatures and chopping into chunks. Set aside for later.

Line a large baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.

Pour chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl, and melt in microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds on medium power. Stir. Continue microwaving in 15 second intervals, on medium and stirring until thoroughly melted.

Pour melted chocolate onto parchment paper and spread into a thin layer.

Pour peanut butter chips into a microwave safe bowl, and melt in microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds on medium power level. Stir. Continue microwaving in 15 second intervals, on medium power level and stirring until thoroghly melted. About halfway through melting, add 1 tablespoon of shortening to thin out the texture.

Immediately spoon dollops of the melted peanut butter chips onto the chocolate. Use as much or as little as you like, depending on your preference. You may have some melted peanut butter left over.

Using a skewer, toothpick, or knife, begin marbling the mixture using a circular or swirling motion until you get the desired effect.

Place chopped Reese’s Miniatures on top and press into the mixture, using your hand.

Place the baking sheet into the fridge to allow the bark to chill for 1-2 hours or overnight. Once it’s set, break into large chunks and serve! Store leftovers in an airtight container.

How to make instant Peanut Butter and Chocolate Iced Coffee:

Because I have a love for everything peanut butter and chocolate, I pushed things to another level and created a delish peanut butter and chocolate iced coffee. Took just another couple of minutes longer – but it was SO worth it!

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Iced Coffee ingredients:

  • Folgers Iced Café Iced Coffee Concentrate: Vanilla Latte or Original Latte
  • Glass of cold milk
  • 1 tablespoon of creamy peanut butter
  • 1-2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup
  • ice

Instructions:

1. Combine peanut butter and chocolate syrup in a small bowl. Stir in enough milk to thin out the mixture well, making sure the peanut butter is all dissolved. If the peanut butter isn’t dissolved, you’ll end up with chunks of peanut butter in your iced coffee. I’m ok with that, but you might not be.

2. Squeeze (2) squirts of the Vanilla or Original Latte coffee concentrate into a glass of milk, and stir.

3. Pour the peanut butter and chocolate mixture in and stir well.

4. Add ice, and enjoy!

So, I love cheesecake as much as the Golden Girls do. The RITZ® Snackify Challenge has inspired me. I love coming up with and creating new recipes, especially decadent ones. Some that you wouldn’t even think about….yet EASY to make! I decided to create this crazy good recipe for Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake Bites. Yessss!!!! A sweet no-bake cheesecake mixture dolloped on top of a RITZ® cracker, topped with a peanut butter cup. Can it get any better?! I’ll give you the play by play, but the printable recipe is at the bottom of the post, in case you want to print it and put it in your recipe box.   peanut butter cup cheesecake bites

Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake Bites ingredients:

    • 1 8oz. block of softened cream cheese

  • 1 8oz. tub of whipped topping

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • peanut butter cups (miniatures or regular size)

  • RITZ® Crackers

Directions:

Cream together the softened cream cheese and sugar with a mixer. Add whipped topping and about 10-12 chopped peanut butter cup minatures and stir until combined.   peanut butter cup cheesecake bites Scoop cheesecake mixture into a zip lock baggie and place in the fridge to firm up. Then cut off the corner (makeshift piping bag) and then pipe the mixture onto the RITZ® Crackers.       peanut butter cup cheesecake bites Top each cheesecake bite with a peanut butter cup. Serve right away, and store any leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container. Enjoy!       ritz-instore-demo While I was at Walmart getting groceries, there was a RITZ® Crackers demo going on. The gal there was making some yummy snacks. She topped RITZ® Crackers with peanut butter, marshmallow cream and a banana slice. So soooo goood! After snacking on these and gabbing for a bit, I ran around the corner to the cracker aisle and scooped up a box of BACON flavored RITZ® Crackers and a regular box. For the recipe I created, I actually used BOTH kinds of the crackers. The Bacon flavor actually lended some more saltiness to the sweet and salty combo I was trying to achieve. Yum!         Ritz-Crackers-aisle You can find the RITZ® Crackers at Walmart, in the cracker aisle. The Bacon flavored ones were about eye level and then the regular RITZ® Crackers were near the bottom shelf. Click HERE to enter the Snackify Challenge with your own RITZ®-topped creation for a chance to win a $100 Gift Card! Let us know what creation you make!! We’d love to hear all about it!
