Are you a busy mom who doesn’t always have the time to make something wholesome to put on your kitchen table? I know we all feel guilty when we just throw something together, all from cans and boxes!! At least I do. It’s easy to just tear open a box and stick  something in the oven or microwave and 15 minutes later call out, “Dinner’s done!!”.

Well…I found this company called Michael Angelo’s. They make frozen italian meals. I first met them when I went to the BlogHer conference in NYC last year. I was able to sample some of their lasagna and chat with one of the girls at the booth. I also got the chance to meet some of the Michael Angelo’s family including Michael, the son and his beautiful mother, Sara!

Michael and Sara founded their company on the idea that a frozen meal should meet the same standards for flavor and quality as any other meal. Because of their mission – they only select the best ingredients! What other “brand” do you know of that visits the tomato fields every season to ensure each crop meets their strict flavor and texture requirements. They also import authentic Italian cheese. This just goes to show that their obsession for quality runs deep! They even make their own pasta!

I can totally vouch for the quality of the flavor and freshness. I trust the Michael Angelo’s brand because they do offer such great quality and freshness so to me, it’s no different than if I whipped up an awesome homemade lasagna and froze the leftovers.

Michael Angelo’s food does NOT contain the artificial colors, flavors, fillers or chemical preservatives found in most frozen meals. Michael always says, “If you can’t find it in Mom’s kitchen, we won’t use it in our food.” The ingredient lists on the sides of the boxes are short and sweet…that makes me feel good!

We love their lasagna, you can really taste the authentic cheeses in them. The pasta is fresh and you can taste all the wonderful flavors. Just like homemade! I also tried their Flat Bread Pizza….those are delish too! Crispy edges and they have tons of meat on them! I love the spice in the salami they use…it’s uber yummy and really thick!
