I was recently sent a few Eucerin Calming Itch Relief body care products to review.  Since we’re just coming out of winter and it’s been so warm you’d think that most wouldn’t still have dry skin, but I do and always have a backscratcher handy .  I complain every day about how dry my skin is so that’s why I was excited to see this package come in the mail.

I was sent a full size bottle of Eucerin Calming Body Wash, Eucerin Calming Creme Moisturizer, and a Eucerin Calming Itch Relief Treatment.

The Eucerin Calming Body Wash is a “Daily Shower Oil”…yes, I said Oil!  You can actually see through the bottle that it’s more liquidy than a normal body wash.  I was a little hesitant at first because I thought it would be a little icky.  After trying it, I was pretty shocked.  It lathers well especially if you use a spongey.  I’m funny…I gotta have some lather so I was very pleased!  It didn’t leave my skin feeling oily at all, it made it feel very soft!

As for the smell, it has a pretty “clean” scent.  I personally like scented body washes, but I prefer to use those if I do morning showers so this is perfect for me to use when I take night time showers.  I really like the fact that this body wash has omega oils in it.  Lord knows I don’t eat enough of that, so at least I’m getting some while I shower !

The Eucerin Calming Creme is a daily moisturizer.  I applied it right after I showered and I was pleased to find that it didn’t leave my skin greasy at all like most other cremes can.  It made my skin feel really smooth and silky…I love that feeling!  The creme is pretty thick and it soaks into the skin VERY well.  It doesn’t stay on top of the skin forever like other cremes can.  It’s been HOURS since I’ve showered and my skin is STILL very soft!

The Eucerin Calming Itch Relief Treatment is just that…a treatment.  It’s meant to instantly  relieve itching and provides relief for up to 8 hours.  A couple of hours after I had showered and used the creme, I started getting that annoying “itch” on my back between my shoulders.  That’s the spot I usually use my trusty backscratcher on since I can’t reach that spot.  I applied some of the Itch Relief Treatment on that area and it hasn’t itched since…really!  It tingled a little at first, but that’s because it has cooling menthol in it.

- Some other things I like about this line of products -

1. Preferred by Dermatologists
2. Safe for children
3. Recommended for those who suffer with atopic dermatitis or eczema
4. Free of fragrances that cause irritation (this is GREAT for the kiddos)
5. The Creme and Treatment both contain oatmeal
6. The Treatment also contains cooling menthol…but not much, I could barely smell it.

- The one thing that I did NOT like about this product -

1. Nothing…I just wish I had found it earlier this winter !!

Overall, I would recommend these products to anyone who has dry skin…no matter how severe. My skin isn’t extremely dry, I just suffer from the normal “winter dry skin”.  These products really calmed down the itching for me.  If you suffer from extremely dry skin, then you may or may not have the same results as I have had.   I will say that as much relief as I got from these products, that it would be beneficial to you as well.
